Rezin speaks to banking leaders group, bankers from 38th Senate District
SPRINGFIELD, IL – State Sen. Sue Rezin (R-Morris) said she spoke to the Future Leaders Alliance Group with the Illinois Banker’s Association (IBA) on April 8 about the legislative process and the relationship between bankers and legislators.
The group, picked by their respective bank presidents and accepted by IBA, is in Springfield for the IBA Annual Lobby Day on April 9.
Four participants of the group are from Sen. Rezin’s district and they all agreed that traveling to Springfield has given them a new appreciation for the legislative process.
“Coming here has given us an idea of the lobbying process,” J.R. Hock of Grundy Bank in Morris said. “Being here to actually see the process really makes a difference.”
“It’s been exciting to see an overview of how things work in Springfield and how our industry interacts with lawmakers,” Todd Chaffer of First Midwest Bank said.
