The Ottawa Area Chamber of Commerce, Ottawa Sunrise Rotary and Ottawa Noon Rotary invite you to “Help Pick Up the ‘Pick Us’ City.” With respect to those who were affected by the tornado and storms on 2/28/17, we understand the need to stay away from the disaster areas while first responders secure the locations. In the meantime there is plenty to do in our community to help. Join us and help pick up the insulation, roofing materials and other debris that is currently coating the downtown streets of Ottawa. We are working in coordination with Republic Services Waste, NCICG and the City of Ottawa.
The Chamber is not conducting business as usual but we are putting forth our efforts along with the City of Ottawa and North Central Illinois Council of Governments (NCICG) to coordinate the mass volume of volunteers, within the community. As of now, we are still working out the details on how we will distribute the volunteers within Ottawa and Naplate.
All volunteers will need to be at least 18 years of age and must complete a volunteer form. Please note there are 2 different forms!
