State Sen. Sue Rezin issued the following reaction in response to Gov. Bruce Rauner’s Budget Address Feb. 14.
“Passing a balanced budget – something that has eluded the Capitol for years under Democratic majorities in the legislature – is instrumental in setting a new, positive tone in Springfield.
“We can achieve financial success, one that can finally right Illinois’ fiscal sinking ship, but difficult bi-partisan decisions must be made.
“The culture of ‘tax and spend’ with no reforms for taxpayers and too few cuts has to stop. I look forward to working with my Democratic colleagues on a budget that moves Illinois toward fiscal solvency.”
