Senate Republican Deputy Leader Sue Rezin (R-Morris) releases the following statement on Governor Pritzker’s new “Bridge Phase”:
“While I am encouraged that the Governor has listened to our Caucus’ calls for the establishment of a clear path for a return to normalcy and the full reopening of our state’s economy, I still believe that there needs to be increased transparency and the inclusion of the legislative branch in the decision-making process.
“The Governor’s unilateral control over every aspect of the COVID-19 response must end. It is time for the Pritzker Administration to work collaboratively with the General Assembly to ensure that we provide the necessary assistance for those who have been disproportionately affected by this pandemic.”
