Sen. Rezin’s statement on upcoming House Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearing on the LaSalle Veterans’ Home Outbreak

State Senator Sue Rezin (R-Morris) released the following statement on the upcoming House Veterans’ Affairs Committee hearing on the LaSalle Veterans’ Home outbreak:

“After being denied the ability to participate in the Senate’s committee hearing on the LaSalle Veterans’ Home outbreak, I welcome the chance to ask questions on behalf of my constituents at tomorrow’s House Veterans’ Affairs Committee. This hearing is a critical step in providing transparent answers to the residents of the LaSalle Veterans’ Home and their families.

“I would like to personally thank the Chair of the House Veterans’ Affairs Committee, Representative Stephanie Kifowit, for giving me the opportunity to participate in this important hearing. I look forward to representing my local constituents in tomorrow’s hearing as we seek answers as to how one of the deadliest outbreaks seen at a state-run facility in Illinois history could have happened.”
