State Senator Sue Rezin (R-Morris) was recently recognized by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives with its Public Service Award during the organization’s Annual Meeting in East Peoria.
The award recognizes Senator Rezin’s leadership on energy policy and her commitment to advancing practical solutions that support reliable, affordable electricity for Illinois families, businesses, and communities.
“It is a privilege to be recognized by the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperatives,” said State Senator Sue Rezin (R-Morris). “Throughout my time in the General Assembly, I have had the opportunity to work alongside many dedicated cooperative leaders who are committed to serving their members and communities. I am grateful for this honor and remain committed to advancing practical energy policies that support reliability, affordability, and a strong future for Illinois.”
Electric cooperatives play an important role in delivering safe and reliable electricity to communities across rural Illinois. Rezin has worked closely with cooperative leaders and other energy stakeholders on issues affecting grid reliability, energy affordability, infrastructure, and the state’s long-term energy future.

As Co-Chair of the National Conference of State Legislatures’ Energy Supply Task Force and a member of the Senate Energy and Public Utilities Committee, Rezin has been a leading voice on policies that strengthen Illinois’ diverse energy portfolio, improve reliability, and ensure the state can meet growing energy demand while keeping costs affordable for consumers.
